Family of chemical elements also called inert, as they are weakly reactant noncombustible = made of material that does not burn if exposed to fire inflating = filling something with air or the other gas coolant = a liquid or gas that is used to remove heat from something incandescent lamp = light bulb = a source of electric light that works by incandescence(=the emission of light caused by heating a suitable material to a high temperature) discharge lamp = a tube of glass, quartz or other suitable material, containing a gas and, in most cases, a metal vapour.
