eaves = the part of a roof that meets or overhangs the walls of a building

veneer = a thin decorative covering of fine wood applied to a coarser wood or other material

drip = CONSTRUCTION a projection(=part which extends outside) at the front lower edge of a sill or cornice designed to throw water clear of the wall below

fascia = CONSTRUCTION a board or other flat piece of material covering the ends of rafters or other fittings

felt = CONSTRUCTION a water-proofing material or technique
