wet vent = a pipe serving simultaneously as a waste pipe and vent(= vent stack = a pipe which regulates the air pressure within your home's plumbing system)

flange (joint) = a connection of pipes, where the connecting pieces have flanges by which the parts are bolted together

flange = a flat surface sticking out from an object, used to fix it to something or to make it stronge

(plumbing) code = a code that provides regulations for the design, installation and inspection of building plumbing and sanitary systems

bathroom vanity = AmE a piece of bathroom furniture that incorporates a sink or basin and often includes a countertop and storage space underneath

P-trap = a plumbing trap named after their shape that contain a u-shaped bend that filters wastewater as it enters a plumbing system, connected to a sink, bathtub, and shower with a J-bend on one end and exits into your drainage system

trap arm = the distance from a P-trap to where the fixture actually gets its air
