holiday = a length of time during which people don't have to work or go to school

shore excursion = a trip from a cruise ship to a city

bed and breakfast = small house or hotel that offers lodging and a morning meal

motel = a sleeping and resting place that is inexpensive and is usually by a road

cabin = a room on a ship

gift shop = a type of shop where you buy souvenirs and other gifts

youth hostel = a sleeping and resting place for young travelers that is inexpensive

resort = a resting and sleeping place that offers many services

pitch a tent = to set up a temporary shelter outdoors

gift wrapping = a service that involves putting an item you buy in nice paper

service charge = money that you pay to receive a service

mileage = the distance traveled

drive-through service = a type of service in which customers order and receive food in their car

cruise director = a worker who organizes activities on the ship and tells passengers about the activities

travel emergency = an unexpected problem that happens during a trip

one-way ticket allows a traveler to go to one place

boarding pass = a paper that allows you to get on a plane or bus

high season = the part of the year when there are a lot of travelers in a place
