bump and hole = pothole = a hole in a road surface that results from gradual damage caused by traffic and/or weather
hazardous = dangerous
penny-farthing = an early type of bicycle, made in Britain, with a very large front wheel and a small rear wheel. The name came from the British penny and farthing coins, the penny being much larger than the farthing, so that the side view of the bicycle resembles a larger penny (the front wheel) leading a smaller farthing (the rear wheel).
daredevil = a person who does dangerous things and takes risk
perch = (of a person) sit on something high or narrow
whiz along = move along very quickly
perilous = full of danger or risk
rear = the back part of something, especially a building or vehicle
