grind (past tense: ground) = break something into small pieces of powder, usually in a machine
handle = look after or control something or somebody
poacher = a person who catches or kills animals illegally => poaching (n)
powder = a very fine, dry substance
release = set free
rescue = take someone or something out of a dangerous situation
the wild = the natural environment
lie around = spend time resting in a lazy way
hand fed = be given food in fixed amounts and at fixed times, rather than use a self-feeding system (e.g. for poultry or livestock)
a demand for = need
endangered = (of a species) seriously at risk of extinction(=no longer in existence)
